Automotive Engineering activities at AMAP focus on the many ways to constantly improve existing automotive engineering technology and applications.
Our staff are involved in a wide range of R&D projects to expand the current knowledge and develop leading edge solutions and innovative technologies for the automotive industry.
In particular, our research and reach out activities focus on Electric Vehicles, Hybrid Systems, Fuel Cells, Mixed Fuel ICE, Dual Fuel ICE, Hydrogen ICE, Advanced Manufacturing in the LCV industry, Lightweight Technologies & Materials, Vehicle Safety, Crash Performance and Advanced Manufacturing for the LCV industry.
Other Automotive areas of research include Human Factors, Driver Behaviour, Telematics and life on board which focus on improving the interaction between the human and vehicle.
All our R&D projects are collaborative ventures building upon AMAPs’ extensive links with many local, national and international partners.
